After five decades in the electronics field I retired and became a writer. My first book was about designing printed circuit boards. Since then I have written a few fiction books.
I’m originally from Anderson County, in East Tennessee and proud of being a Tennessee Volunteer.
I spent 364 days in country in Vietnam and two years 364 days on active service.
I have owned two professional engineering firms.
I was a contract consulting Electronics Engineer for over 20 years.
I am a anti-party conservative. I will endeavor to support the United States government and duly elected officials.
I support the President, the Vice President, all the cabinet and legislative leadership of both Parties. I support their offices, but long for the days we have better representation.
I also support all Indigenous, Hispanic, Asian, Middle Eastern, European, Australian, South American and even Texan citizens. (Follow the link for a giggle – it is an excerpt from one of my books) I support all lawful immigrants.
It has recently become popular to condemn people for their religious persuasion. I have a protestant christian background as well as personal knowledge of a number of other religions. I do not promote any single religious view as being “correct.” When it comes to religion I use the advice given to beginning writers. Show don’t tell.
The faith of my youth tells is the story of the man that prayed in a closet. I have found that loud public prayer and showmanship rarely translate into theologically sound life constructs. As Desiderata says “Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit.” Those that would use religious dogma for their own purposes must despise this advice, which makes me very proud.
I cannot understand why a person proud of their religion and faithful to their beliefs would ever want to sully their religion by compromising it by their politics.
